Support a child with a disability to get the independence they need

Every day, children in the UK miss out on school, sport and independence because they don’t have the right mobility equipment.  A donation to The Make Way Foundation helps fund wheelchairs, mobility equipment and disability sport kit for children who need it — quickly, thoughtfully, and with care.

If you’re able to give, thank you — it genuinely changes what a child can do day-to-day.  Any amount makes a difference, and we run the charity with minimal costs.  Key supporters close to the charity cover all our costs, so 100% of all external donations goes directly to buying wheelchairs, and nothing else.

Please consider a recurring monthly donations, however small.  They let us plan ahead and say “yes” faster when a child needs help. Even £10/month makes a real difference over a year.

If you’re a UK taxpayer, ticking Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate — at no extra cost to you.

Other ways to help

Fundraise for Make Way (rides, runs, school events, workplace challenges)

Talk to us about legacies - a donation in your will allows you do leave a lasting impact that will do real good for a child in need.

Donate in celebration / in memory (and we can let someone know, if you’d like)

Finally, please spread the word — one share can be the reason someone donates

For Corporates

If you’re part of a business and want to support something tangible and high-impact, we’d love to talk.

Ways companies have partnered with Make Way:

  • A donation from their philanthropy fund - we can follow up to let you tell your employees and partners the difference their donation made
  • Match employee fundraising
  • Arrange or sponsor an event or challenge (one corporate team cycled from London to Berlin)!
  • Pro-bono support (design, legal, comms, operations)

We keep it simple, personal, and impact-led — and we can share clear examples of what your support enables.
